Alan Rapley is the founder of Veralta. His career began in the pool, where he became an Olympic swimmer and captained the Great Britain team at the 1996 Atlanta Games. That experience , leading under pressure, preparing over four-year Olympic cycles, and performing on a global stage , now sits at the heart of Veralta's approach to leadership and culture.
After elite competition, Alan spent more than two decades coaching and developing coaches across multiple Olympic sports and high-performance programmes. He has worked with hundreds of leaders and performance coaches to design programmes, pathways and environments where people thrive rather than just survive.
As an ILM Level 7 qualified executive coach, Alan is known for his "Switzerland T-shirt" neutrality , minimal bias, deep listening, low fixing-instinct , and for coaching the person, not the job title. He believes recovery and reflection are competitive advantages, not luxuries, and that wellbeing is the golden thread running through all sustainable performance.
Alan founded Veralta to bring that thinking to a wider world: an accredited, ecosystem approach to building leaders and the cultures they lead.
